Here’s our take on things at Indy Soft Water: When water tastes better, people drink more of it. That’s why we’re so passionate about delivering great school water filtration system solutions. Over the years, we’ve been able to collaborate with schools and communities all across Indiana to find the water filters that make the most sense for their buildings.

Most recently, we partnered up with Purdue Polytechnic High School. We’re so glad to report that they’ve been happy with the results!

5 Benefits of a School Water Filtration System

Proper hydration has benefits that go far beyond our physical health. When it comes to creating a productive learning environment, we really can’t overlook the benefits of great water quality. Staying hydrated throughout the day improves cognitive function. And giving our children access to high-quality drinking water—that’s truly safe with powerful filtration—directly impacts multiple aspects of our lives:

  • School age children should be drinking 6-8 glasses of water per day
  • Drinking water can improve brain function by 15%.
  • Students remember more and stay alert and focused
  • Gives everyone a healthy alternative to sugar-sweetened beverages
  • Supports students’ and staff members’ immune systems

Another thing many people don’t know about proper hydration is that it keeps your temperature normal and helps digest your food. We aren’t necessarily thinking of these benefits on a regular basis, so it’s nice to have a quick recap on why good drinking water matters. It’s one of the easiest ways to help children thrive. The best way to do that is to ensure our schools have accessible, filtered water throughout the day.

The Feedback from Purdue Polytechnic High School

It’s always encouraging to see how a simple water filtration solution can transform a site. We absolutely loved hearing feedback from Charli Renckly-DeWhit, the Director of Communications for PPHS. She was kind enough to gather a quote from the organization as a whole:

“At PPHS, one of our core beliefs is that we care for and educate students holistically—which means taking care of ALL of a student’s needs, including access to drinking water. Being able to have really great, high-quality water available for our students at the touch of a button is a great way to make sure students are hydrated and healthy! We appreciate the work Indy Soft Water has done to make PPHS an even better place for our students to learn with the addition of their water system!”

What’s more, the kids themselves have been really happy with the upgrade. We chose a few key areas that would be perfect to accommodate a new school water filtration system. Check out this short video of what they had to say:

Ready to Improve Your School’s Water Quality?

Staying hydrated improves attention, builds immunity, and helps with weight control. These are all issues schools face on a daily basis when working with kids. It is such a feel good for us to be a part of that process. The kids at Purdue Polytechnic were all excited about the “new water,” and that brings us so much joy and renewed energy as a team.

We love serving our clients in a way that truly makes a difference to improve their lives with relatively simple solutions. Water quality impacts all of us on so many levels. Moreover, when your drinking water actually tastes good, it can truly provide long-term benefits for everyone learning and working inside your school building, and even those just visiting your site.

If your community is due for a school water filtration system, please reach out! We’ll start with a water quality report. Then we’ll have the information we need to determine which filtration solutions will make the most sense for your tap water. After that, we can start to review the different water access points around your site—whether that’s bottle fillers for the hallways, in the cafeteria, by the gym, in the breakroom, or someplace else!
