It’s no secret that staying hydrated is one of the single most important things you can do for your health. Still, studies show that over 75% of people in the US show signs of chronic dehydration annually. So what can we do about this? Humans buy about 1,000,000 plastic bottles per minute in total. Only about 23% of plastic bottles are recycled within the U.S. Luckily, there are limitless options for your on-the-go hydration needs. So how do we pick the right water bottle? That all depends on your lifestyle. For example, if you spend a lot of time outdoors, then a glass bottle may not be something you could use every day. A collapsible bottle with a clasp or strap may be a better fit for your particular lifestyle! Choosing a great water bottle that you enjoy carrying will be even more motivation to drink throughout the day. We’ve all heard the tried and true saying “Work smarter, not harder.” and technology has made that easier than ever! Some of the newest bottles on the market come equipped with Bluetooth speakers, the ability to be synced to your favorite fitness accessories, and even led lights to remind you to stop and take a swig!

Water bottle companies have gotten smart and are equipping bottles themselves with these technologies, conveniently combining drinking vessels and purifiers into one neat bundle. It’s time to ditch the single-use plastic water bottle for good. Purifying bottles guard against bacteria, protozoa, viruses, chemicals, heavy metals and other pollutants. You may already have purified water at home, in that case these bottles are great for travel. If the water coming from your faucet is not up to drinking standards, consider having an eco-friendly filter installed so that you and your family can have safe and great tasting drinking water without the hassle and waste associated with bottled water.

Water doesn’t have to be boring. We’ve all met someone who claims they aren’t a fan of good old fashioned H20, but that doesn’t mean cutting out the water entirely!
